Welcome to my new website, God and Country, a blog where I will be bring you my latest thoughts on what's going on in this great country of ours.

For those of you who are new to this site my name is Anthony Flores and I live in Rapid City, South Dakota. I am a struggling freelance writer still working on the all American novel. I look forward to bringing you my (some would say twisted) point of view on today’s issues. I concentrate my blog, God and Country, on two themes: The power of God and how he has transformed my life as well as other people’s lives, and my views on the current events from the perspective of someone who is a patriot and loves the United States of America. I try to bring love, comfort and understanding to those I disagree with but there will be times when I find it necessary to take a stand. In a nutshell I believe God is love and we live in the greatest country ever created. I also believe this country was God-inspired. As American history has shown we are a flawed nation but I have learned America has a knack for getting it right in the end. I look forward to hearing from you: On how I can make this website better, where I’m going wrong, where I’m going right, and the opportunity to bring a live debate to the issues of the day. I believe more discourse in the national (and local) debate is needed. I have no desire to quiet any voice: Bill O’Reilly or Michael Moore, Joy Behar or Glenn Beck, Ed Shultz or Michelle Malkin, Anne Coulter or Leslie Marshall, in fact, not even Charlie Sheen’s right to his own webcast!
