Thomas Jefferson's Monticello
Last weekend I got back from a trip to Washington DC. We took 36 students and 8 adults there. It was a blast. For a history nerd like me I think I acted more like a child than the students did! My computer screen cracked while we were there and I ended up writing the blogs each night for school, so I didn't get much writing done on the book. I guess it was meant to be. This week I've been on role - and that's a good think since my plan is to send it off to the editor at the end of the month. That translates into about 3000 words a day. I have been on pace since getting back home. A rewrite is much easier than the original.
My goal today is to start the grand finale for the name of my book. I started writing Part three (final section) of the book and can see pay dirt. My plan is to finish up today's writing in the car on our way to Sioux Falls - I get some much done when Tammy drives. We have to go there to represent our church for the Synod. Yes, we were suckered into doing it again.
So here are the two finalists for the Name My Book Contest:
Lazarus Rising
Dance with the Seraphim
